Hi Jim & Liz...just a short note to tell you that we really enjoyed our
weekend at RRI. It was all we hoped for and a lot more. Jim...you did
a good job of guiding us to the fish...we were very comfortable with you

The meals, cabin and fishing were the best I've ever had. That fish I

 Dear Liz and Jim,
Thank you very much for all
the warm hospitality that you showed me during my stay. It is obvious
that it is a labor of love for you both. Even though I did not come for
the fishing it was still one of the most relaxing, scenic and enjoyable
couple of days in quite a while. I will strongly recommend your residence
to other professionals looking for a change of scene for business

Dear Jim:
Glad you got a turkey. I was wondering if my gun ever made it. In doing what
I do I get to travel all over the world hunting and fishing. Very seldom do
we go to a place and every thing works out for the good. In the case of
River Ridge Lodge it did. I also experience alot of different places a year.
As you well know I have been doing this for 9 years and River Ridge Lodge
rates as the among the top 5 places I have ever been.

“Having fly-fished
for trout on numerous river systems here in Wales and around the U.K. I
took the opportunity to fish the White River in Arkansas, U.S.A. My guide
for the fortnight was Davy Wotton of “American International Schools of
Fly Fishing”. Without a doubt an experienced guide is an essential part
of fishing the river, not only from the safety aspect as the water level
can fluctuate at any time due to the demand for electricity, but also for
the where, what, why, when and how criteria. Davy’s prowess not just on
running water but on still water as well is nothing short of
awe-inspiring. He has an intricate knowledge and understanding of the
quarry he pursues and this reflects for one, in his boat handling
capabilities and approach to a species over variable water types and
bottom structures, thus optimizing the opportunities. Also his casting
techniques, line control and presentation methods coupled with his thought
process and precise clinical eye for detail can only be described as truly
World Class, as is his fly tying ability, all that which has been well
documented around the globe. His teaching comes across in a format that’s
easy to ascertain no matter what your level of experience.
At the
end of the day, my time-spent fishing throughout “The Ozarks” alongside
Davy Wotton turned out to be a very enigmatic, invigorating and thoroughly
thought provoking experience that captivated me entirely. A return visit
is already on the cards.”

Just a short note
to let you know how much Lisa and I enjoyed our stay at your River Ridge
Lodge. The accommodations were just great and the trout
fishing in your back yard was the best I have ever experienced. I
just wish I could have stayed longer so I could have taken a turkey and
deer. I don't know of too many places where a person can hunt
deer, turkey, and ducks; fish for trout, walleye, and striped bass
within just a few miles of where you stay. We really enjoyed the
relaxed atmosphere and your hospitality. Many thanks, and you will
see us again.
