Fishing ON Dry Run Creek

If your desire is to catch "The Grand Slam" (Rainbow, Cutthroat, Brown, and Brook Trout), the North Fork is where you will have to fish. Kids love fishing on Dry Run Creek. The opportunity is here, the challenge is yours. Our guides, instructors, and local fly shops will be more than happy to give you advice or to provide instruction and guide service on your stay. These guides are "the pick of the litter" among both White and Norfork Rivers. River Ridge Inn is known for its expertise in providing an all-inclusive outing to those groups that select one of our fishing adventure packages. Teaching Fly Fishing to groups is what we do.

Relax in Luxurious Comfort

On occasion, someone may elect to "stay back" and enjoy the many professionally landscaped gardens or to simply sit on one of the swings and just watch the water go by. If the choice is to stay inside in the cool air-conditioned Lodge, Chalets or Cottages, you can enjoy satellite TV in your room, or you can relax in our newly decorated 1000 sq. ft. lounge with its big screen TV, Satellite receiver, DVD/VHS and surround sound system so you won't miss that big game, or to simply catch up on reading or view a movie from our inventory. Listening to the sound of the water running over the shoal and down the run will provide you with an experience that will linger in your mind. On a hot summer night, when the fogs sets in over the surface of the water, you may find that you would be more comfortable with a sweatshirt or jacket. It is not unusual for the temperature to be 10 to 15 degrees cooler on the dock than it is just 15 feet up the bank. During the daytime, our guests find it very relaxing to walk to the water's edge or to sit on the dock, where it is always cooler than what it is on your private dock at the Inn.

With Covid crisis looming, and a need to have a safe change of scenery, we thought we’d take a drive up from Hot Springs, AR and stay socially distanced while enjoying sone fishing. I had been forewarned that the river may be high and running fast. A referral from my brother brought us to meet Jim and Liz at River Ridge. Our ‘cabin’ was a full house with master king bed downstairs in addition to a beautiful sleep lift upstairs as well as a fold out futon in the master bedroom. Our deck provided a gas and a charcoal grill. The neat view of the river and the fishing dock was gorgeous and although we caught zero fish, we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves on the gorgeous grounds. The place was immaculate, extremely comfortable and Jim very helpful with fishing tips (we are both novices). A lot of privacy complimented by the rushing river and changing fog below. We hope to travel back and learn some new tricks if there’s room for us in the fall. I understand corporate retreats take place here at The River Ridge Flyfishing Academy. Thoroughly recommend!! We had viewed the location online and came down to see it in person, it was everything advertised and more. Jim and Liz were wonderful hosts and showed us around. I could sit and watch the river go by for hours. Very quiet and comfortable stay. Everyone we came in contact with during our time in the area was friendly and willing to answer any questions you might have.

We were guests at the River Ridge Inn in August of 2019. Folks, I highly recommend this property. Jim and Liz were wonderful hosts and very accommodating. We stay in the Riverside Chalet and it had everything we needed. My wife said it was almost like being at home but better. This was my wife's first fly fishing outing and other than they generated the whole time, we had a great time with Lori Solas and her husband as guides. It was our first time here but it won't be our last. Worth every penny.

Jim and Liz helped me plan a surprise vacation for my husband and kids and grandkids. The Lodge was lovely, the fishing exquisite, and we all had an amazing time full of memories. Everyone said it was the best fishing of their lives from the oldest experienced anglers to the beginning kids. His instructor guides weee so professional and kindly. Can’t say enough.

This was a great location ran by a wonderful host! This place was right on the river. The restaurants near by and the scenic views made it for a great romantic getaway in Arkansas. If you love the outdoors like I do and like to fish for trout then you should give this place a try.
